# My Profile

My Profile allows Team Members to tailor how they interact with modONE and the Team Member portal.

My Profile includes two sections: Account Settings and Notification Settings

## Account Settings

### Set Portal Display Name

On every page of the portal, the Team Member's name appears at the top left of the window. The default name is the one used when the Team Member was initially enrolled on the platform. To update this name, click inside the Portal Display field to activate edit mode. Click enter or anywhere outside of that field to save.

### Create modONE Account

Team Members typically access the portal by clicking the "I am a Team Member" button on the modONE Sign In page and providing the company code provided by their modONE Administrator along with their Employee ID or Email address. In this case, modONE considers the Team Member a "Guest," as noted in the Account Status.

{% hint style="info" %}
Generally, setting up a Team Member account simplifies modONE access as their user name is the Team Member's email address, and the password is of their choosing.
{% endhint %}

If a Team Member prefers to create an account on modONE, the following is a step-by-step guide:

<figure><img src="https://3373848439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVs9KFF5j76G7XSrhwbWT%2Fuploads%2FvF7IFkjwVz8SNhXR5hRN%2FCreate%20Account%20vNew.png?alt=media&amp;token=571f86cb-325f-44d0-9a10-f9049f59c921" alt=""><figcaption><p>Create Account Dialogue</p></figcaption></figure>

1. Click the "Create Account" button
2. Enter (or update) the Email Address in the Email Address (User Name) field
3. Enter a password in the Create Password field (note the Password requirements)
4. Confirm the password in the Confirm Password field
5. Click the checkbox beside "I understand and agree to the modONE Terms of Use and Privacy policy" (Click "Terms of Use and Privacy Policy" to view those documents).
6. Click the green "Create Account" button

modONE will validate the information, create an account and log the Team Member into the platform (signified by the Account Status changing to "User").

Once an account is set up, to sign in, the Team Member should click the "I have a modONE Account" button on the modONE Sign In page and provide their credentials.

## Notification Settings

modONE sends email and text notifications when there is new information to review or action to take. To receive modONE notifications, Team Members must first consent and confirm their contact information for each communication channel.

<figure><img src="https://3373848439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVs9KFF5j76G7XSrhwbWT%2Fuploads%2FjUVsss2rOYauiAQXSDJj%2FNotification%20Settings.png?alt=media&amp;token=5f14d63c-b9e5-4876-a8a8-c49ce3b5d563" alt=""><figcaption><p>Consent to text and email separately from My Profile.</p></figcaption></figure>

### Email Notifications

Click the Consent to Email Notifications button to consent to Email notifications.

<figure><img src="https://3373848439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVs9KFF5j76G7XSrhwbWT%2Fuploads%2FAe7tOx3VFtvjLMIXwRpW%2FEmail%20Concent%20Dialogue%20v2.png?alt=media&amp;token=3001510d-95e9-4207-a5be-e9677d9a30e6" alt=""><figcaption><p>Email Consent</p></figcaption></figure>

Enter the email address to be used for email communication (or confirm/update the pre-populated email address), click the check box beside the consent message, and click the "Confirm Consent" button.

Because modONE uses a two-step consent confirmation process, an email is sent to the email address. This email contains a confirmation link. The Team Member must click on this link to finalize consent.

Once email consent is finalized, the time stamp of confirmation is displayed, and the email consent button turns red and reads "Stop Email Notifications." Consent can be revoked at any time by clicking this button.

### Text Notifications

{% hint style="danger" %}
modONE sends notifications on behalf of your organization when there's new information for you to review and respond to. To receive them, consent to each channel separately using **Consent to Text Notifications** and **Consent to Email Notifications**. All notifications are governed by the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

If you've already consented on a channel and want to change it, first opt out by stopping communication on that channel, then consent again.
{% endhint %}

Click the Consent to Text Notifications button to consent to SMS Text notifications.

<figure><img src="https://3373848439-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FVs9KFF5j76G7XSrhwbWT%2Fuploads%2Flgu9l1u77agmXaA93w5o%2FSMS%20Consent%20Dialogue%20v2.png?alt=media&amp;token=9bf703ef-69b9-4608-9eed-c9b981787588" alt=""><figcaption><p>Text Message Consent</p></figcaption></figure>

Enter the mobile phone number to be used for text communication (or confirm/update the pre-populated mobile phone number), click the check box beside the consent message, and click the "Confirm Consent" button.

Because modONE uses a two-step consent confirmation process, a text message is sent to the provided mobile phone number. This message contains a confirmation link. The Team Member must click on this link to finalize consent.

Once text message consent is finalized, the time stamp of confirmation is displayed, and the text message consent button turns red and reads "Stop Text Notifications". Consent can be revoked at any time by clicking this button.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.mymodone.com/common-features/team-member-portal/my-profile.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
