Send an Alert

Alerts are "just in time" notifications to team members. When an Alert is sent, specified recipients receive the information immediately.

Pro Tip: Experienced modONE users send "Stop Shift" Alerts when there is an incident they want their teams to be aware of immediately. They also send Alerts when environmental conditions are such that special precautions are required (e.g., "High Heat Days").

The Basics: Step-By-Step

  1. Choose Team Alerts from modONE Main Menu

  2. Click the Compose New Alert Button

  3. Enter the Subject of the Alert

  4. Choose an Alert Category. Choices include Health, Incident, Informational, and Safety.

  5. Enter a Nudge. In modONE, a nudge is a brief, at-a-glance summary of your content. The nudge is included when notifying recipients that they have a new Alert to review.

  6. If the Alert contains Details, click the "Add Alert Detail" checkbox and enter your information. Information can include text, links, pictures, and video links. Note that the default setting for this element is checked.

  7. You can preview the Alert anytime by clicking the "Preview" button at the bottom of the Alert Composer. You can save a draft of the Alert for editing/sending later by clicking the "Save Draft Button.

  8. When you are satisfied with your Alert and ready to send it, click the "Send Team Alert" button. A confirmation popup will appear indicating the total number of Alert recipients and asking you to confirm that you want to send the Alert. Click "Yes, Send Alert" to send it. To cancel and continue editing, click "No, Cancel Send."

  9. Upon sending the Alert, modONE will automatically load the Dashboard so you can monitor the activity associated with it.

Alert Composer

If you want to send the Alert to a subset of your team members, click the Team Member Filter icon ( ).

If your Alert includes a Call to Action, click the "Include a Call to Action" checkbox and set the required parameters - Type, Question, and Expiration. Note that the default setting for this element is checked.

To link content from a library, click the "Include Link to Library Content" checkbox and choose a title. You can filter and search for content using the available search criteria. This optional setting is often used to provide supporting documentation associated with the content of your Alert.

For each Alert within the history, view the Alert by clicking the View icon (). Copy the Alert by clicking the clone icon ().

For a list of the intended recipients, click the Recipient List icon ()

In addition to creating a link to a video in the Alert Detail, you can record or upload a video (up to 90 seconds) by clicking the Video icon ()
